Upcoming Cars in 2017


               We are four months away from year 2018 and still their are several cars waiting for their launch in India before 2017 ends. So we decided to make a list of all those cars for you, so that if you are planning to buy a car in near future, you can consider some new entries as well. Co-incidently most of them are from German manufacturers.

  • Skoda Octavia vRS - August 30, 2017 

                    Skoda is going to launch a hot version of new Octavia, "The Octavia vRS" with a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine producing 230 bhp of power. It will get upgraded stiffer suspensions, sporty bumpers, larger alloys, a 9.2 inch touchscreen and 9 airbags.
                    The major highlight though will be the 230 bhp engine and the sporty characteristics of the car. To be priced under 30 lakhs on-road.

  • Skoda Octavia L&K - September, 2017

                   As we know L&K is the top of the line model from Skoda. Skoda offered L&K on the Laura and then discontinued it on the new Octavia in India.
                   Now Skoda is gearing up to bring back the L&K back  trim for the new Octavia.It will get new Canton 12 speaker audio system, L&K badging and more premium perforated leather seats. Same engine options will be offered but only in automatic guise. Will be placed above existing "Style Plus" trim and will be around Rs. 30,000 more than existing Style Plus variant. 


  • Audi Q7 40 TFSI Quattro - September 2, 2017

                  Till date their is no petrol engine option for the Q7. Now Audi is going to launch the petrol version of Q7, the "40 TFSI Quattro". It will get a 2.0 litre TFSI petrol engine producing 251 bhp and 370 nm torque. Expected price is around 75 lakhs.


  • Skoda Kodiaq SUV - September, 2017

                   A full sized 7 seater SUV from Skoda is awaited for launch. Based on Skoda Superb, this SUV will come with 2.0 litre TDI producing 175 bhp and will compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavour.


  • Tata Nexon - September, 2017

                  Nexon is a compact SUV from Tata Motors with a 1.2 litre petrol & a 1.5 litre diesel engines both producing 110 bhp. It gets well built interiors and exteriors. Will be priced around 6 to 9.5 lakhs.


  • Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible - October, 2017

                  Land Rover is going to launch a convertible version of its urban SUV Evoque. It will be similar to its coupe version in terms of engine & specifications. Expect a price hike between 5 to 10 lakhs compared to coupe version.


  • Ford Ecosport Facelift - October, 2017

                 Ford is readying a facelift of it's popular compact SUV " Ecosport" which will make it's design more in-line with other ford models. Same engine specs and price is expected.


  • Volkswagen Passat & Passat GTE - October, 2017

                 Volkswagen is set to relaunch the Passat in India in standard as well as hybrid form. It will be offered in 2.0 TDI producing 177 bhp. The GTE hybrid will have a 1.4 litre TSI petrol and an electric motor. Combined power output will be 215 bhp. Expected prices are 30-35 lakhs for standard and 40-45 lakhs for GTE hybrid. 


  • Maruti S-Cross Facelift - Around Festive Season

                 A facelift of S-Cross is due for launch in India. Coming this festive season, specs and prices will be the same.


  • Mahindra Scorpio Facelift - Around Festive Season

                 Mahindra is testing a facelift version of it's SUV Scorpio. It will get an updated engine from XUV5OO producing 140 bhp. It will launch around the festive season.


  • Refreshed Mahindra XUV5OO - Around Festive Season

                 Minor cosmetic tweaks and an updated engine producing 170 bhp is on cards for the XUV5OO. Scheduled to launch in festive season.


  • Land Rover Range Rover Velar - November, 2017

                 Powered by 2.0 litre 250 bhp petrol and a 2.0 litre 180 bhp or 240 bhp diesel engines, Velar is a new sporty SUV from Land Rover. It is very stylish and technologically advanced SUV. It will launch near Diwali as CBU.


  • Renault Captur - Before Year End

                 Based on Duster's MO platform, Captur will be positioned above the Duster. It will have same engines as Duster. It will be launched before the year ends. Prices will be around 15-18 lakhs.


  • Mitsubishi Outlander - Before Year End

                  Will be available only in petrol guise, this Outlander will produce 169 bhp with a 2.4 litre petrol engine. It will be imported as CBU and will launch before year ends.


  • Audi A5 - December, 2017

                 A sporty sedan is awaited for launch from Audi's stable. The A5 launch is scheduled in December 2017. This car will offer 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI both producing 190 bhp. Prices should be around 60 lakhs.
